Cadence Bank Foundation Makes $50,000 Donation to BakerRipley

Supporting the organization's commitment to provide educational assistance and career opportunities

HOUSTON, Tex., January 12, 2022
 - Cadence Bank (NYSE: CADE) announced today that its Cadence Bank Foundation has made a $50,000 contribution to BakerRipley, supporting their vision to break down inequities by maximizing the assets of the communities in which they serve.

This donation was made in honor of Bill Harrison’s 11 years of service to Cadence Bank as a member of the board of directors. The funds will support BakerRipley’s focus to bring resources, education and connections to emerging neighborhoods in Houston. The funds will help the organization's Entrepreneur Connection program, offering low- and moderate-income participants intensive small business learning and support services in English and Spanish.

“BakerRipley’s involvement with our Houston communities is nothing short of admirable,” said Hank Holmes, chief banking officer at Cadence Bank and a member of BakerRipley’s board of directors. “The opportunities and resources provided by this great organization shines light on the positive ways we can all take part in transforming the communities in which we live and work.”

Since 1907, BakerRipley has supported low-income families and individuals by strengthening community engagement, improving financial well-being and increasing educational attainment. The organization believes in making the areas it serves a place of promise and opportunity.

“This agency exists to ensure our neighbors from the region’s most vulnerable communities have the critical resources and services necessary for them to thrive,” said Claudia Aguirre, BakerRipley president & CEO. “We are grateful for Cadence Bank’s investment into this program that provides access to learning and connection to small business owners who desperately need support at this time.”
