Cadence Bank Foundation Donates $25,000 to The Salvation Army

Funds will support the organization’s homeless shelter in Tupelo, Mississippi


TUPELO, Miss., December 20, 2021
 – Cadence Bank (NYSE: CADE) and Cadence Bank Foundation (formerly BancorpSouth Bank and BancorpSouth Bank Foundation) announced today a $25,000 contribution to The Salvation Army to support its homeless shelter in Tupelo, Mississippi.

The contribution was made in honor of Guy Mitchell’s 20 years of service as a member of the BancorpSouth Board of Directors and will help The Salvation Army maintain its Jim Ingram Red Shield Lodge, which provides temporary shelter, food and laundry facilities for individuals and families.

According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, in Mississippi, five in 10,000 people are homeless in the general population, and many of those individuals and families are without shelter.

The Jim Ingram Red Shield Lodge, which opened in October 2019, has enhanced The Salvation Army’s ability to serve those in need throughout the Tupelo, Mississippi area.
