Halloween Safety Tips

Halloween Safety Tips

Enjoy a safer Halloween with these tips.

Halloween is a fun and exciting time for children and adults alike. You can help ensure the only frights you experience this season are the fun kind by following these tips to stay safer:

Costume Safety: Choose children’s costumes that fit correctly and don’t obscure their line of sight to help prevent trips and falls. Make sure off-the-rack costumes are made of flame-resistant materials.

Trick-or-Treating: Accompany young children and ensure they stay in well-lit, familiar areas. Avoid crossing busy streets whenever possible. Consider using location apps to make sure nobody gets lost.

Check Treats: Inspect Halloween candy and treats for signs of tampering before allowing children to eat them.

Stay Visible: Use reflective tape and glow sticks to help ensure your children are visible to drivers. If you accompany children on foot, consider wearing a reflective visibility vest.

We hope you have a safe and fun October season. Stay safe, plan wisely and enjoy the fall fun.
