Important Information: Vendor Outage Resolution & Fee Refunds

On January 15, 2025, one of our key service providers was affected by a major outage that impacted the availability of several of our systems as well as those of several other financial institutions. This was an unusual event due to a hardware failure by the service provider, and it was not related to a cyber event, fraud or Cadence Bank system error. Cadence Bank teammates worked with the vendor around the clock and on January 18, 2025, the resulting issues were resolved, and all Cadence Bank systems were once again fully operational.

We know this was a significant inconvenience to many of our customers, and we understand the impact this may have had on your ability to manage your household, business and everyday financial needs. We want to reassure you that your money is safe and we will work hard to restore your trust and confidence in Cadence Bank.

Fee Refunds

  • Cadence Bank will refund all overdraft fees charged on January 16 through January 21. Any overdraft fees incurred through January 17 have already been refunded in your account; subsequent overdraft fees will be visible in your account on January 22.
  • If you incurred any fees from a non-Cadence Bank service provider such as a utility company, a mortgage company or another financial institution, please contact a Cadence Bank branch or call the Contact Center at 888-797-7711 to request a refund. Cadence Bank will accept reimbursement requests from non-Cadence Bank service providers through February 20, 2025.

Be Fraud Aware

We encourage our customers to be aware of fraudulent account recovery scams designed to take advantage of this type of situation.

  • Cadence Bank will never call, text or email you to request your account number, password or PIN, or ask for this information on social media.
  • You should never give out any personal information to a person or business that calls, even if the speaker claims to be a Cadence Bank representative and your caller ID displays the Cadence Bank name and phone number.
