Cadence Bank employs advanced proprietary technology to protect your assets and your private information. If we find suspicious activity on one of your registered debit or credit cards, we alert you quickly so you can take action.
Our Card PatrolSM1 service, free with any Cadence personal checking account, provides real-time online monitoring of up to 10 major credit/debit cards (Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Diners Club® and Discover®) in Internet chat rooms. Card Patrol also offers:
- Early warning technology that monitors various chat rooms where thieves are selling and trading stolen credit and debit card numbers
- A personal caseworker to provide guidance and answer your questions should your data be compromised or stolen
As a Cadence Bank checking account holder, we provide you access to MyIDMattersSM, an educational website on identity theft issues.
Protecting Your Personal Information
Protecting your personal financial information requires some vigilance on your part, too. We recommend that you make sure you always select a strong password and personal identification number for all your electronic accounts, including your online bank account and Cadence Bank debit card. The PIN for your Cadence Bank debit card should contain four digits that only you know.
Cadence Bank will never contact you to ask for any account number, password, social security number or other private financial information. If you feel that your password, PIN or any account information has been compromised, or if you receive an e-mail asking you to verify or update this kind of information, delete the email without responding to it and contact us immediately by calling Cadence Customer Service or your local branch.
1Card Patrol℠ monitors up to 10 registered major credit/debit cards (including Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, Diners Club® and Discover®) in Internet chat rooms. It is impossible to ensure that all Internet chat rooms have been searched for your personal information. Accordingly, your monitoring alert reports may not contain or apprise you of all your personal information that is publicly available or that may have been compromised.
