How We Contact You

When a fraudulent debit card transaction is suspected, Cadence Bank will block the transaction and notify you. Cadence employs an automated system to text, call or email you quickly to determine whether that questionable debit card transaction was made by you.

 

If we have a valid mobile phone number on file for you, the system will attempt to text you to verify more quickly if you were the originator of that transaction. If not, the system will attempt to call you or send an email depending on what contact information we have on record for you.

 

If you receive a text asking you if the transaction is authorized, you can simply respond YES or NO.

  • If you reply YES, your debit card account will be unblocked so you can continue using your debit card within 5-10 minutes.
  • If you reply NO, your debit card will be blocked to prevent fraud. Then you can call us to order a new card or stop by your branch for assistance.

If you’d prefer not to receive text messages, simply reply STOP. In the future, the automated system will call or email you rather than sending a text message.

 

Text messages may be sent from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. in your time zone. Calls may be made from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Emails may be sent 24 hours a day. If the suspicious transaction occurs at night, the transaction will be blocked, then texts and voice calls will be triggered the following morning.
