The 4 Personal Finance Tools From Cadence Bank You Need to Use

Manage your finances safely and simply.

A wide range of personal finance tools have made it easier than ever to manage your money today. There are numerous sites and apps that will help you create a budget, track your spending and more.

But you don’t have to surf the web or visit an app store to find these helpful personal finance tools. Cadence Bank offers a variety of tools that can help you manage your personal finances more efficiently.

Benefits of using Cadence Bank tools

According to Cadence Bank Digital Channel Manager Tommy Sanderson, there are concrete benefits to using Cadence Bank’s personal financial management tools, as opposed to general personal finance websites and apps.

“Number one, you can be sure that the tools you’re using are secure,” says Sanderson. “With all of the reported data security breaches that are in the news, many people are very concerned about the security of their personal banking information. Therefore, this is a critical factor to consider when using personal finance tools.”

Another benefit of using Cadence Bank personal finance tools is that all of your Cadence banking information is automatically integrated into them. “Data is aggregated from both Cadence and non-Cadence financial institutions,” explains Sanderson. “As a result, there’s a low barrier to success when it comes to improving personal financial management.”

Cadence Online and Mobile banking: Our suite of personal finance tools

Most of these personal financial management tools reside within Cadence Online and Mobile banking. “They are secure, convenient and easy to use,” says Sanderson. “They better connect you with your finances, so you can plan with more confidence and have greater peace of mind when you spend your money.”

Cadence Online and Mobile banking contain the following personal finance tools:

Cadence TotalMoney

This tool gathers and organizes your financial accounts and transactions from different institutions all in one place, including checking and savings accounts, credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, and retirement and investment accounts.

“This makes it easy to create a budget, track all of your spending and find out where your money is going,” says Sanderson. “You can see spending patterns you may want to change and thus gain more control over your finances.”

TotalMoney includes a budgeting tool called Bubble Budgets which categorizes all of your expenses, such as groceries, mortgage or rent, utilities, and eating out and entertainment. “Using this information, you can create a realistic budget based on your income, debts and actual spending history,” says Sanderson.

Cadence Online Bill Pay

Using this service is faster, easier and less expensive than writing checks and stuffing, stamping and mailing envelopes. And it’s more convenient than using each of your billers’ websites to pay bills online.

You can set up bill payment reminders and recurring payments for bills you pay regularly, such as monthly or quarterly, so these payments become automatic. “This helps you avoid late payment fees and additional interest,” says Sanderson. In addition to paying bills, you can also make payments to another person via email or text message.

The Move Money feature enables you to transfer money between Cadence Bank accounts and financial accounts outside of Cadence. For example, you can transfer money into a joint account for a teenage child who’s in college, transfer money from a checking to a money market account to boost your savings, or transfer money back into your checking account to meet an unexpected expense.

Cadence Mobile

With the prevalence of mobile devices used today, many people prefer to do their banking using a smartphone or tablet. With Cadence Mobile, you can access your Cadence Bank accounts in one of two ways:

  • Mobile banking app: Secure app provides mobile access to Cadence online banking via iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch or Android cell phone.
  • Text banking: Allows monitoring of account balances and recent transactions.

Cadence FlashDeposit

This convenient tool is contained within the Cadence Bank mobile banking app. It enables you to deposit checks from anywhere using your mobile device, thereby eliminating the need to drive to the bank to deposit checks. “FlashDeposit is a very popular tool with customers, because it’s so convenient and saves so much time,” says Sanderson.

Here’s how it works: You take a picture of the front and back of the endorsed check using your mobile device, and then follow the instructions using the Cadence mobile banking app to complete the deposit. You can make multiple check deposits in a single mobile banking session, and funds are available on the same day for deposits submitted before 6 p.m. on business days.

There’s no additional cost to use Flash Deposit for Cadence Bank personal checking account customers, though fees may be charged by mobile service providers.
