Cadence Bank Video Series with Bauer College and KTRK-TV

HOUSTON, Feb. 24, 2015 — Cadence Bank has teamed with the University of Houston’s C.T. Bauer College of Business and KTRK-TV to produce an eight-part video series titled
Economic Update, which launches today.

In the initial segments, Paul Murphy, CEO and President of Cadence Bancorp, joins Robert Gilmer (link sends e-mail), Director of the Institute for Regional Forecasting at Bauer College, to discuss trending regional economic concerns currently in motion. Murphy and Gilmer tackle pressing issues such as the impact of falling oil prices on the economy in Houston and across Texas, as well as what a strengthening U.S. economy may mean for interest rates.

The Institute for Regional Forecasting, led by Dr. Gilmer, focuses on developments in the Houston business cycle, monitoring the effects on the Gulf Coast region of the national economy, energy and global expansion. It also conducts other economic studies of policy
significance to the Houston area. Murphy, a Houston banker for more than 33 years, brings a “feet on the ground” perspective to the program.

Bankers with deep expertise in energy, international and real estate also will join Dr. Gilmer to address other topics of interest to businesses in the multi-part series, which continues through May 2015.
