Cadence Bank Released from OCC Consent Order

HOUSTON, Feb. 11, 2016 — Cadence Bank today announced the consent order issued by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requiring improvements to the bank’s Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) program has been terminated.

“We are pleased the OCC has recognized the steps that Cadence Bank has taken to enhance our BSA program,” said Paul Murphy, CEO of Cadence Bancorp.

Over the past 24 months, Cadence Bank has enhanced its technology, processes and personnel to improve its program. These efforts led to the OCC lifting the consent order that previously had been imposed in 2015.

“Our efforts have resulted in a program that is comprehensive and resilient,” added Murphy. “We fully support the regulations designed to ensure a safe and sound banking system in our country, and Cadence aggressively works to ensure we meet and exceed these requirements.”
