Cadence Bank's Response to Heartbleed Bug
Committed to Safeguarding Customer Information
Cadence Bank is committed to protecting our customers’ private information, and in doing so, employs the highest security standards.
On April 7, 2014, a serious vulnerability in the popular OpenSSL encryption software referred to as the ‘HeartBleed Bug’ was announced. If exploited, this vulnerability could allow an attacker access to sensitive information that is passed between a user and a web service using SSL encryption, including https protected websites.
In response to this threat, Cadence Bank conducted a full review of its systems to detect any vulnerability to this type of exploit. We are pleased to report there is no evidence that any of Cadence’s systems are impacted by the OpenSSL HeartBleed vulnerability. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will take action as necessary to ensure the services that our customers depend on remain safe.
